As the 2021 year begins to close out, we looked back on the year and the achievements Democrats in Washington and Salem accomplished for working people. From Washington, these included bringing children out of poverty with the advanced child tax credit, an infrastructure initiative to finally address road, bridge, transportation issues neglected since the 1970’s and to bring internet broadband to rural communities. From Salem, relief for renters impacted by the pandemic, relief for victims of 2020 fires, police reform, some movement on recycling, addressing illegal grows, and much more. Locally, we opened up bipartisan conversations on marijuana grows, water use, and school boards.
To close out 2021 meetings, our guest was Democratic Candidate Nickolas Kristof is kicking off the gubernatorial season with us in Josephine County. You can watch his interactions with us here.
Before, during, and after the presentations, we celebrated with pizza and wine.
