PATH Invites Citizens to Make a Positive Impact on Grants Pass Homelessness and Housing Issues
Are you frustrated with our current housing and homelessness crises and interested in partnering with other community members and organizations to make a difference? If the answer is “yes,” please attend the next PATH General Meeting and Open House.
PATH (Partners Assisting the Homeless) is a grassroots advocacy group whose members actively support our police and city government as well as non-profit organizations and other local entities that are working to positively impact homelessness, drug addiction and mental illness. PATH’s goal is to work collaboratively to assist the unhoused population in our community to get off the streets, out of our parks, and into a position where they can get the help they need, a roof over their heads, and ultimately enjoy a healthy, safe lifestyle as productive members of our community.
PATH is a non-partisan, diverse group of people who share a common goal: to improve safety and security for all who live in Grants Pass. PATH members work together to bridge the gap between the needs facing our community and the resources that are available to meet those needs. By sharing diverse backgrounds, experiences, and expertise, as well as varying perspectives, PATH members remain open to discussion and rely upon each other’s knowledge and experience to approach and resolve issues diplomatically.

TO THE RIGHT OF REALITY – SEPTEMBER 20-23
The defeat of Grants Pass Mayor was fully expected by those running the recall effort against her. The drubbing was not. Voters soundly rejected the recall by a no vote of 64.3 percent to a 35.7 percent yes vote.
“Under the circumstances, with the number of people that stormed the office to discuss this and plead for help, you know, you woulda thought more people would’ve come out in support of their needs, But they didn’t. They just didn’t. It was a shock,” said Josephine County Republican Party Chair Holli Morton on KMED Radio’s Bill Meyer Show the day after the election.
Morton blamed the defeat on Gov. Tina Kotek’s visit August 16, nearly a month before the election. READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE
