Yes -- Public Safety Won! |
Measure 17-114, the five-year levy renewal for Grants Pass, won by a large margin. Congratulation Grants Pass.
Measure 17-115, calling for the formation of a Law Enforcement District for all areas outside of Grants Pass is currently leading by over 300 votes. The Clerk is in the process of "curing" ballots with signatures that didn't quite match up and waiting for mail in ballots. It looks positve for Cave Junction and the rural areas. Congratulations Sheriff Daniel and those residents affected. |

Please join us for a well-deserved thank you, have some snacks, play some games and meet other Neighborhood Leaders. Some of the candidates in May’s election will drop in to meet us. Current and past NL’s are invited to enjoy the fun.
We believe 2024 is going to be a critical election year for Josephine County and for The United States. In creating events like this we are trying to ensure that all of us who do the difficult campaign work are supported by each other and leadership. Anyone interested in learning more about the Neighborhood Leader program is welcome.

Many thanks to Gerd Taylor for donating office space for the local Democratic Party. THANK YOU! But the time has come for Gerd to sell the building and we will be moving out at the end of December. Of course, it is expensive to rent office space, so we will be returning to the days of having a virtual office. Stay Tuned!
