Jordan Cove/LNG Update – Hearing Dates Announced by FERC

On June 4, 2019, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) announced hearing dates in Southern Oregon on the Jordan Cove LNG export terminal and Pacific Connector fracked gas pipeline.

These hearings are critical to show the federal government that our communities want a transition to clean energy, not a fracked gas pipeline and export terminal, by demanding they deny the Jordan Cove LNG project. Will you be there?

The FERC hearings are just a few weeks away, which is why we’ll need everyone’s help getting ready for the hearings.

Here are four ways you can take action to tell FERC to stop Jordan Cove LNG.

1. Attend a Hearing near you! RSVP today, and we will send out details about rallies as soon as we can.

  • Coos County: Monday, June 24, 2019, 1-8pm, Southwestern Oregon Community College Hale Center for the Performing Arts (1988 Newmark Avenue, Coos Bay, OR)
  • Douglas County: Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 1-8pm, South Umpqua High School (501 Chadwick Lane, Myrtle Creek, OR)
  • Jackson County: Wednesday, June 26, 2019, 1-8pm, Ramada Medford Hotel and Conference Center (2250 Biddle Road, Medford, OR)
  • Klamath County: Thursday, June 27, 2019, 1-8pm, Klamath County Fairgrounds/Event Center (3531 South 6th Street, Klamath Falls, OR)

2. Volunteer to make art and help get the word out about these critical hearings. We have volunteer opportunities across the state, email me back at allie@rogueclimate.org if you’re interested in volunteering. (There’s an art-make in Jackson County this Thursday. Check it out here.)

3. Submit a comment. If you only have a minute, click HERE to submit an online comment, or you can check out our longer comment writing guide HERE. The comment period closes on July 5.

4. Make a donation to build the movement to stop the Jordan Cove fracked gas pipeline and LNG export terminal for good.

Thank you for the update, Rogue Climate –
