Gun Owner's Caucus
Democrats support the United States Constitution, which includes the Second Amendment and subsequent court decisions affirming the right to gun ownership. Democrats believe the Constitution does, however, expect responsibility along with the rights it bestows. If you own a firearm for protection, enjoy target shooting or hunting and would like to be part of a caucus aimed at finding the balance between preserving our Constitutional right to own firearms and preventing tragedy join us. We work with the Democratic Party of Oregon’s Gun Owners Caucus to monitor gun legislation, discuss gun-related issues and look for ways to provide people with the information and training they need to be responsible gun owners.
