Call to Action — Attend Cliff Bentz Town Hall

Rogue Community College Rogue Community College - Redwood Campus Rogue Auditorium 3345 Redwood Highway Grants Pass, OR 97527

Congressman Cliff Bentz CD2 will be in Josephine County tomorrow. This is the perfect opportunity to let him know what you think of his voting record.

He recently voted against the PACT Act, a bill that would have expanded health care to 3.5 million veterans exposed and sickened by toxic burn pits – open pits where all kinds of nasty things like plastics, chemicals, and medical waste, were burned.

Even more concerning is the fact that they had already voted FOR this bill just last month and were now only voting on minor changes after the bill was passed in the House. This GOP change of heart occurred in retaliation to the Democrats’ attempt to pass the Inflation Reduction Act to address climate change, health care, inflation, and taxes. In other words, Republicans threw our veterans under the bus to send a message to the Dems, “Don’t mess with our fossil fuels.”

Voting records are very telling. A candidate can say and claim many things. The voting record offers a true assessment of the candidate and is proof of their actions. The voting record is a candidates report card and stands as a testimony of what the candidate stands for.

It appears based on his record that Mr. Bentz stands against a lot of basic rights.
