Whats in the Proposed 2020 Budget
Trump tweeted “We will not be touching your Social Security or Medicare in Fiscal 2021 Budget. Only the Democrats will destroy them by destroying our Country’s greatest ever Economy!”
But, here is what his proposed budget calls for:
- Significant cuts from Social Security
- Cuts from Medicare and Medicaid (that’s OHP here in Oregon! And let’s not forget helping those in Assisted Living and Nursing Homes)
- Cuts from the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Education, NASA,
- Cuts from ARPA-E, Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, a government agency established under President Obama to research and develop advanced energy technologies, you know, the technologies to replace use of fossil fuels that are killing our environment. That last one faces cuts of 173%… it is not only eliminated; it must return $311 million to the Treasury.
